The Price Book Standard
One A4 page that ends the Sunday-night quote. Decide once what you charge and what your rules are: rates, markup, what is always included, what is always excluded, and your terms. After that, writing a quote is a lookup.

What is a price book?
A price book is one page of decisions, made once and calmly, instead of again at 9pm with a job description in front of you: what you charge per unit, what your markup and minimums are, what is always in the price, what is always priced separately, and how long the price holds.
Quoting is slow because of the writing, not the maths. The sums take a minute. Listing the work, spelling out the terms and making it sound like a business is what eats the evening, and that part is assembly.
What do you do with it? Paste it into a chat assistant with the job details and let it assemble the quote from your rates. Move it into the software you already invoice with when you are ready. The rule that makes it safe never changes: the machine writes the words, you own the number.
Built for anyone who has to send a price before they get the work.

What's inside
- 01
Units and rates
Day rate, half day, hourly, per unit, minimum callout. The number you actually charge, not the one you wish you charged.
- 02
Markup and minimums
Materials markup, minimum job value, out-of-hours uplift, travel, contingency. Numbers survive a friendly phone call. Good intentions do not.
- 03
Always included
The assumed things, written down anyway, so nobody argues about whether they were in the price.
- 04
Always excluded
The things you price separately every time. This is the section that prevents the conversation on site.
- 05
Validity and terms
How long the price holds, your deposit, when the balance is due, and a review date so the page does not quietly start underpricing you.
One page. Print-ready. Works with the reminders already built into Xero and QuickBooks.
