This site exists to show my work. It is not a shop and it has no forms. The only way to reach me is email, and the only data I hold is what you choose to send.
Who is responsible
Ameera Surekha, based in the Netherlands, is the data controller for this site. Questions, or any request below, go to ameera@asurekha.com.
What I collect
- If you email me: your email address and whatever you write, so I can reply and, if we work together, keep a record of it. Lawful basis: your request and my legitimate interest in answering it.
- Running the site: asurekha.com is hosted on HubSpot and served through Cloudflare. Like any website, their servers process basic technical logs (such as IP address and the page requested) to deliver the site and keep it secure. HubSpot and Cloudflare act as my processors under their own data agreements.
- Cookies and analytics: this site runs on HubSpot, which sets analytics cookies and uses HubSpot's Collected Forms to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. They are not essential. You choose whether to allow them through the cookie banner when you first arrive, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time by clearing the cookies in your browser. They are never used to identify you personally or to advertise to you.

Lawful basis: your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet Article 11.7a) requires for non-essential cookies. HubSpot processes this analytics data as my processor under its own data agreement. Withdraw consent any time by clearing this site's cookies, which brings the banner back.
What I do not do
I do not sell or share your data, I do not build advertising profiles, and I make no automated decisions about you. There is no newsletter machinery here. The only measurement is HubSpot's own aggregate analytics, described above, which you control through the cookie banner.
How long I keep it
Emails are kept for as long as our conversation or engagement needs them, and then deleted. Technical logs are kept by the hosting providers for their own short retention periods.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask me to show you, correct, or delete the data I hold about you, to restrict or object to its use, or to send it to you in a portable form. Email the address above and I will handle it. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
