Business name Your name Email or phone Registration or VAT number (optional) Address (optional) Currency symbol (decimals with a comma or a point, both work) Tax name on the quote (VAT, BTW, GST, sales tax) Tax rate, percent (0 if you do not charge it) **01**Units and rates How you sell your time and your materials. Write the number you actually charge, not the one you wish you charged. A row you leave empty is left off the page: an empty row is a gap someone will negotiate into. \+ Add a per-unit or per-item rate **02**Markup and minimums The rules that stop you quoting like a customer. Numbers, because a number survives a phone call and a good intention does not. Materials markup, percent Minimum job value Out of hours, weekend, emergency uplift, percent Contingency on fixed-price work, percent Travel free within, km Then charged per km **03**Always included Things you never itemise, because they are assumed. This is the section that prevents the conversation on site. \+ Add a line **05**Validity and terms A price with no expiry date is a price you will be held to next spring, after your materials cost has moved. Your terms. 02 Print ### Print it One A4, the same design as the download, with your numbers on it. Pin it up. 03 Type ### Type the job Pick each line from your own book and give it a quantity. Materials get your markup. Out of hours, travel and contingency follow your rules. 04 Send ### Send the quote Five checks before the print button unlocks: every line traces to a rate, nothing from section 04 crept in, the total clears your minimum, the expiry is on it, and you have read it. What it does *not do.* **0** uploads**5** sections, decided once**5** checks before you send**A4** book and quote Pricing ### It never picks a price The machine writes the words, you own the number. If a line is not in your book, the tool will not price it. You decide, then it assembles. Sending ### It sends nothing The quote prints to PDF from your browser. Sending it, and invoicing it, stay in whatever you already use. Storage ### It keeps nothing beyond your browser Your book and your last quote are saved in your own browser so they are there next time. Nothing goes to me or to anyone else.
