Comp card, portfolio, rate card: made the way agencies and promoters ask.

A first look is what an agency, a promoter or a client sees before they meet you. Put your facts in once and this makes your comp card, portfolio and rate card, then checks them against what each side asks of someone new. Free, no account, and your photographs never leave your browser.

● The tool

Who it is for on the left. What they get on the right.

Saved in this browser as you type, and Save to a file gives you a copy with the photographs in it. Best on a laptop; on a phone the preview sits below the form.

First Look_

Your portfolio, comp card and rate card, from one set of facts. Tell it who you are sending to and it checks what they want from someone new.

Nothing is uploaded. Photos and measurements stay in this browser. It checks the shape, never the truth. Every fact here is yours to stand behind.

Four steps. One set of facts.

01 Facts

Put your facts in once

Name, where you are, who books you, and the facts your work is judged on: stats for a model, your sound and set length for a DJ, your services for a photographer.

02 Make

Make your portfolio, comp card and rate card

Four layouts, six sets of type, six colour sets or your own. The portfolio shows each piece whole, never cropped. The comp card is front and back at print size. The rate card never leaves without its terms. Nothing you export carries anyone else's branding.

03 Check

See what they ask for first

Say who you are sending to: a model agency, a client, a promoter, a booking agency, a casting director. Each asks something different of someone new. Every ask comes with its reason and its source, and anything missing has a button that takes you straight to it.

04 Send

Export it, ready to send

One PDF: what they ask for first at the front, and your portfolio, comp card and rate card behind it, with your links clickable. Digitals as separate photographs for an upload form, without any location your phone wrote into them. Images for your own site.

What it does not do.

Account

It never asks who you are

No account, no email, nothing to sign up for. It is free, and the code is open source under the MIT licence, so you can read exactly what it does.

Storage

It keeps nothing beyond your browser

Your facts, measurements and photographs stay in your own browser, and Save to a file gives you a copy. Nothing goes to me or to anyone else.

Agencies

It does not find you an agency

It gets what you send right; who you send it to is yours. And a real agency never asks you for money up front, to sign you or to photograph you. If one does, walk away.

Rates

It never decides your rate

The number is yours. What it does insist on is that a rate leaves with its terms, so nobody argues about them later. Working for free while you start out? Nothing about rates is required until you charge.

Truth

It checks the shape, not the truth

It will tell you a bio has a number and no year, and it will not turn your centimetres into a dress size, because clothing scales disagree between makers. Every fact is yours to stand behind.
